For those unfamiliar, the Jazz Series was founded in 1995, as a community-based, all-jazz, concert producing and educational organization, the Jazz Series’ mission remains as intact today as when the project first began.

The mission; To Present, Promote, Preserve and Celebrate the great art form known as “Jazz.” Over the 27 seasons the Jazz Series has presented more than 300 concerts featuring no fewer than 1,500 of the world’s greatest jazz artists. If you find yourself in Columbia, stop in their office at 21 N. Tenth Street and peruse their Von Freeman Library. The collection of more than 9,000 titles is free and open to the public.
