Ambassadors annual meeting. “It’s a great way to recognize your favorite Kansas City musicians that
Jazz fans enjoy all year long,” explained KCJA president Mark Edelman. “If you like a particular drummer, vocalist, or saxophone player, nominate him or her—it’s an honor!”
Like the 2021 awards, nominations are open for nine different instruments plus, favorite big band, jazz radio show, club, and concert venues. Only one nomination form may be submitted by each voter. “This is about your favorite musicians, as nominated and selected by the jazz community,” explained KCJA board member Herschel McWilliams. “We’re hoping to get even more folks participating in 2022.
